PicMix is one of those apps, filled with all sorts of features and sharing options but few actual editing tools other than some brightness settings and frames for your pictures. PicMix isn’t an app for photography professionals, but rather for regular people who wish to share and comment on pictures.
Colorful interface that may get confusing at times
This is one of those apps that absolutely needs a tutorial or a set of instructions for new users to get accustomed to its UI and enjoy its features. However, it doesn’t have any so you’ll have to explore the app and all its features.
There’s a help section, but it will redirect you to the FAQ part of the app or have you send an email with your inquiries. PicMix needs online registration for sharing pictures faster, you can use your Facebook account or register with an email address. The app doesn’t have the permission to post on your wall, so you don’t need to worry about that.
Snap, edit and share pictures
You have the option of importing pictures from your Instagram account and share them with the community. You can’t actually snap pictures with your camera, it only gives you access to your gallery so you can import pictures and add frames to them.
The app is filled with all sorts of frames, divided into many categories to choose from. Simply shake the phone to add a random frame or select one from the list. You can pick up to 9 pictures to include in a collage, adjust borders, corners, colors and patterns to enhance your pictures. A side menu offers you access to all the sections of the app,
Explore various pictures
The app lets you share pictures instantly on various social networks, including Facebook, Instagram and more. You can also explore a section with various pictures uploaded by other users. Comment, favorite and tweet their pictures. Tweak settings under your account and make sensitive pictures private.
You can also block messages from certain users. The app comes with themed contests, especially now during the holidays it offers prizes in money. Users also have the option of adjusting the image size or removing the watermark, but only if they unlock the feature by using several methods, like following 10 users.
