Photo Frame Free 48

Create nice collages with a pretty simplistic and rudimentary app
People enjoy taking multiple pictures of important events in their lives and of loved ones, but one way of organizing pictures in an artistic way is to create collages.

There are many apps on Google Play Store that can help you do just that, but it's difficult to find one that meets all your needs and comes in a nice design. Photo Frame Free has plenty to offer but its interface is quite dated and the banner ads are really annoying.

Dated UI for a simplistic app

Normally, photography apps have a home screen and menu, to let users customize the app to their liking and make changes to the UI. But Photo Frame Free doesn't offer that.

Instead it has really annoying banner ads that keep flickering and taking all the attention away from creating collages. But it's not all bad, the layout is intuitive and easy-to-use which is a good thing, since the app doesn't come with instructions or any sort of tips for new users. The UI stretches on the whole screen, covering your status bar.

Create collages easily

It's quite easy to create collages, simply choose the layout based on the number of pictures that you’d like to include. You can use up to 9 photos to add to specific layouts that can include that many pictures.

Tap on an image to adjust the focus area or to zoom in/out. You can shift through layouts randomly, by using the icon on top of the screen. After you've added pictures, there's the option of changing the color of the frame, but options are limited. Still, you can adjust the width of the border and the aspect ratio of the collage.

Save and share pictures

Once you're done with that, you can select the size of the photo and save pictures to your own gallery or share it with friends on social networks. The app is pretty simplistic on its own, it lacks editing tools for pictures and stickers for collages.

It doesn't even have the option of overlapping collages with text captions. The app automatically saves your collage in .jpg format and doesn't let you change it. Still, it doesn't affect the image quality but doesn't let you add effects to pictures either.

Some layouts are locked and you can gain access to them and remove ads only if you purchase the full version for 1.61$.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8

The interface is quite simplistic and annoying, it definitely needs an upgrade to make it look a bit more appealing.

Function7

It's a nice app but lacks many features that similar collage applications do offer.

Security7

It needs access to many areas of your phone, some aren't connected to its features like location services.

Battery8

Consumption is normal, but you should still keep an eye on resources as the app has the potential of draining your battery during extensive use.

Price8

It comes with really annoying banner ads, remove them and unlock features by upgrading to the premium version for 1.61$.

Compatibility8

It should work just fine on devices running Android version 2.3 or later, making it accessible to many users.
