That's why there are so many social networking apps on Google Play Store. Nearby Live is another one of such apps, but it doesn't come without some issues and bugs, mainly regarding privacy and security.
Clean interface with all features at hand
The app isn't complicated at all, probably that's why it doesn't really have a tutorial presenting users how to gain access to all areas of the app and to use its features.
Obviously, the app needs online registration and you can use your Facebook account or email address to do so. The app helps you connect and chat with people near your location, allowing you to snap pictures and send them instantly.
It comes with a side menu that offers access to all sections of the app, including the one that lets you edit your profile. You may enable notifications for when people like your post or select from the metric or imperial system for displaying the distance.
Meet people near your location
The app helps you expand your friends list by providing you with suggestions of users near your location. It displays their age, gender and distance, the ones that are the closest are on top of the list.
Still, if you scroll down you'll find users that are even 200 kilometers away. Developers should implement a feature that lets you adjust the search radius. Filter users by gender, photo or age.
You can also set the app to only show people that are online or the ones that you're following. You also have the option of writing posts or commenting to those that other people wrote.
Some security issues
The app actually resembles a dating site, with all the personal information it demands from users, like their age, gender and interests. But has fewer features compared to dedicated apps.
It also comes with some security issues. It doesn't say if messages are encrypted and lets users send pictures to people even if they're not connected, so you may receive images from anyone.
Also, it collects a lot of information about your location and from device, without offering any options for users to protect their accounts. But it does offer you the option to block or report users that may post offensive content.
