Memory Booster by Wait What 1.8.2
Google Play Store is filled with all sort of memory booster apps to help your phone work faster, but it's difficult to say for such which ones really work. Memory Booster by Wait What is one of such app. The variety of features and intuitive design makes this app worth a try.
Sleek design with plenty of features
The app launches directly with the home screen, without providing users with a tutorial or any kind of instructions to get them started. Still, the UI is quite intuitive it features quick links to all sort of sections inside the app.
The design seems a bit childish, since the app doesn't use material design and so it doesn't have a side menu with features. It also lacks a settings menu, which means that you can't actually make any changes to the UI or the way the app operates.
Boost your phone using this applications
Or at least try. Simply tap on the boost icon on the home screen to have the app start killing programs that run in the background, recover memory resources and delete cache. However, you can't whitelist certain applications so when you hit the boost button, all apps will be stopped.
In addition, just like other memory boosters, this one can't prevent certain apps by social networks from relaunching shortly after they've been killed. Still, the app displays the total amount of free and used ram. It also lets users disable notifications from the app and enable the automatic boost in the background.
A few more tools
It also lets you kill programs individually, you can only pick the ones that you would want to shut down based on their memory and CPU usage. Users may also check activity logs inside the app, they show them how much memory they've used and how much cache was released. Memory Booster by Wait What is a small app but it could have used some additional features and tools.
It doesn't come with in-app purchases, but it does have lots of popup ads and every time you launch the app or select a feature, it displays an ad for downloading some random app off Google Play Store. Unfortunately, there's no option of blocking the messages, which can be quite confusing to new users since the 'cancel' button is of a different color compared to the download one.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8
The interface is quite nice and playful, but the app could have used a settings menu together with a tutorial. |
Function6
It needs to provide users with more features, like the option to whitelist applications and a widget for the home screen. |
Security9
It only needs a few permissions from your phone, so the app shouldn't really pose any privacy issues. |
Battery5
Consumption seems a bit high for a memory booster, keep an eye on resources when using this app. |
Price7
It's filled with all sort of popup ads and messages to download other applications, displayed each time you access a feature. |
Compatibility8
It should work on devices running Android version 2.3 or later, making the app accessible to many users. |
It's missing some basic features that many memory boosters have.
