InstaSize 3.3.7
Lightweight and easy-to-use interface
An intuitive interface is extremely important for photography apps, especially simplistic ones. InstaSize hits the mark, with an UI that doesn’t need any instructions or tutorial.
Although, it would have been nice to inform users that they need to double tap a blank space in order to add pictures, as it leaves the impression that the GUI is non-responsive.
While all sections are arranged on the bottom of the screen, there are banner ads that take crucial space that could have been left for displaying images. They can be removed for 2.69$, a bit steep is you ask us.
Snap pictures and edit them instantly
You can load images from your photo album or snap one instantly to edit. You can also load them from Google Drive or Dropbox. Users can even load pictures from their Dropbox and GoogleDrive accounts. Choose the type and size of collages, if you wish to make you, and try out the editor to enhance pictures.
Pinch the screen to zoom in or out and add borders of various colors and shapes. Over 40 backgrounds can be added to pictures, but they variety isn’t impressive compared to other similar apps.
Filters can help enhance your image, but InstaSize only comes with 8 to choose from, quite few if you ask us. Still, the app compensates with the selection of stickers which can be reshaped to make them match your picture perfectly. As expected, text can also be added and pictures can be rotated with a simple tap.
Share pictures
Plenty of more borders, stickers or overlays can be downloaded from the app’s market for free, they’re arranged into themed packages to make it easier to access.
There’s no save button, you’ll need to tap on share to save an image to your gallery. Images can be saved in a variety of resolutions, but there’s no option of changing the file format. You can upload pictures to your Instagram, Twitter, Facebook or other accounts on social platforms.

Bottom Line
Design / UI7
While the interface has a neat layout, it’s non-responsive at times and it doesn’t provide users with much needed instructions. |
Function7
So and so, no effects to be added to pictures and there’s no save button. The app clearly needs some improvements. |
Security7
Quite intrusive for a photography app, it has no need for accessing location services but still it does. |
Battery3
It may actually be the photography app with the highest consumption of battery, it also causes your phone to overheat. |
Price8
It comes with banner and pop-up ads which can be removed for 2.69$, a bit steep considering the amount of additional tools users must download. |
Compatibility9
It should work just fine on devices running Android 4.0 or later. |
Few tools and battery consumption is extremely high. We’ve seen better.
