Hubble Space Center 2.1.0
It lets you browse through vast number of space images in Hubble Gallery, read latest Hubble News, learn some interesting facts about Hubble Space Telescope. It has some features but the app desperately needs an upgrade with a new UI layout and a nicer design.
Easy-to-use interface that needs an upgrade
The interface is quite boring, it launches directly with the home menu giving users the option to access one of the four sections inside the app. It doesn't have a settings menu so you can't make any changes to the UI or it's features. In addition to that, the GUI could use an upgrade since the interface and all of its tools seem a bit dated and boring.
Still, you can use the app with ease and it loads all of its content from the official website of the space center, hubblesite.org so you'd know that all the news and pictures are reliable.
Browse through news articles
The first thing that you could check out with this app is the news section. It's filled with all the latest articles from hubblesite.org, arranged by the date they were posted. However, the list of stories isn't long and you can't use a search bar to find certain keywords.
Tap on an article to open, the app lets you access the gallery of pictures, separately from the article. But, since photos are loaded from hubblesite.org, you can't save them to your phone and they're not even HD. Still, you can have the app load the whole story from the website.
Check out galleries of pictures
You can also view all sort of galleries filled with pictures from the space center. You can play all sort of slideshows and set pictures as wallpapers on your phone. In addition to that, images from the gallery can be shared online with friends or you can set slide show direction and delay. You can also check out lots of detailed information on the telescope, including missions in which it participated, its size and measurements.
You can read other facts, like the amount of power it needs, its pointing accuracy, mirrors and storage. Still, the app could have used some more features and the option to remove those annoying banner ads.
