Sleek design with some features
The app comes with some instructions, but you won't really need them since it's quite intuitive. Still, a tutorial would have been nice since it's always useful to provide an overview of the app especially for people who are trying it out for the first time.
The interface is quite intuitive, but it only has a settings menu with some changes that you can do to the UI. But because the app is a widget, you can't choose multiple locations to check the weather, but you can apply several widgets on many screens. However, the app only provides users with one size of widgets.
Adjust settings to the widget
Enable automatic location so you wouldn't bother with inputting the name of the city you live in. You can also adjust the update interval or have the app fetch information when you unlock your phone.
Grumpy Weather Widget lets you change the type of icons you use, some of them come with pretty animation but you'll have to purchase them for 0.89$ each. You can also have it use light colors, metric units, show location and timestamp. Timestamp format can also be changed, between 12 and 24 hours.
Check the weather easily
The widget displays the current date and time on the top right corner, but the letters are a bit small. It shows the city and the current temperature together with conditions.
A message is displayed on the bottom, tap on it and you can check the forecast for the next three days, together with the highest and lowest temperature. Other than that, the app doesn't provide users with any additional information.
It won't show you chances of rain, humidity, wind speed, due point or more. There's no chance of checking an extended forecast with this app, maps or any kind of news. Grumpy Weather Widget isn't for users looking for detailed information, it's for those who only need essential info.
