Gravity Screen 2.2.0

Use motion and gestures to turn off/on your phone's screen
People wish to preserve their phones as long as possible and the power button deteriorates the fastest. So it's not wonder that Android users try to find ways to avoid using it so often and Gravity Screen could be a great app for that. It uses your device's motion sensors to close the screen when you make certain movements and gestures, so you wouldn't use up the power button too much.

Easy-to-use interface that comes with instructions

One of the most important things about almost any app is to launch with a tutorial or a set of instructions to get users going. Gravity Screen absolutely needs a tutorial and while one is only available on Google Play Store, the settings menu has plenty of tips explaining what each feature does and how to use it to lock your screen. The app comes in multiple languages to choose from, meaning that it's accessible to various users from all over the world.

Have the phone's screen lock even when in your pocket

The app uses your phone's sensor to close and lock the screen, without you having to touch the power button. All you need to do is enable the app as a device administrator and then adjust the sensor to a certain angle, so that when you tilt your phone into that position the screen turns off.

It will automatically turn on when you remove it from the pocket. You can also have the app turn off your device when it it's any position, the feature is perfect for people who keep their phones in a bag or the back pocket.

If you're watching a video in the landscape mode, you can have the app suspend all turn-off methods so it wouldn't bother you.

Many methods to choose from

The table sensor detects when you're phone is lying on a table and turns off the screen whenever it detects that the device is below the threshold angle you've set. You can also have the app turn the screen on if the phone is lying on a table facing up.

Swipe over the proximity sensor to turn on. Cover the screen to add another 5 minutes of screen on. Lift the phone and place it back to turn the screen off. If you want to save energy then place your phone face down.

You can also have the screen turn on whenever you move it. Adjust timeout or sensitivity to meet your preferences. You can also set a password for your lock screen, to make sure you don't ever pocked dial anyone.
