GoComics 1.2.8
But, not all included their entertainment sections in the online version. GoComics collects all sorts of comics from major newspapers and delivers them in an accessible and easy-to-use app for your Android device.
Intuitive interface with plenty of features
The whole concept behind this app is to provide various short comics that normally appear into newspapers, all packed in an intuitive interface. It doesn't have instructions, but it's really easy-to-use so you won't feel the need for any explanations.
The app clearly focuses more on content, as it includes strips from some of the most famous comics like Calvin and Hobbes, Peanuts, Garfield, Doonesbury, Dilbert and Marmaduke. It's filled with strips and panels from Pulitzer Prize-winning political cartoonists and the content is updated daily. Also, it's free of charge.
Browse through various comics
Users have the option of exploring several sections inside the app. Check out the database of comics posted daily, you can share them with friends on social networks, add them to your favorites list or your comics section. Swipe the screen right or left to view more. Comics are listed alphabetically and there's a section with the most popular ones.
The name of the cartoonist is displayed next to each comic. You can also check out editorial cartoons, which are extremely witty and follow political topics. A calendar icon lets you change the date and view comics for a certain day of the year. The app functions in landscape mode, but it takes a while to load content so be patient.
Access all features inside the app
A side menu offers access to various sections of the app and there's also a search bar for finding comics faster. New users should register with an account to get access to various features inside the app, including their own page where they can save their favorite comics and view favorites. Users must be over the age of 13.
You can upgrade to a premium version for 11.88$/year or 0.99$/month. An upgrade eliminates the annoying banner ads and offers unlimited access to the website, which has many more comics than the app. You would also support cartoonists, as all members subscriptions go to them.

Price8
It comes with really annoying banner ads, which you can remove if you upgrade to the premium version for up to 11.88$/year. The money goes to cartoonists. |
