Cute Weather 1.0.13

Almost all people have at least one weather app on their phones, to check the weather in the morning and before planning a trip. There are many weather apps and it's quite difficult to find a reliable one, that provides accurate information for any location in the world together with alerts and information related to the forecast and conditions. Cute Weather isn't one of them.

Intuitive and sleek interface

The app doesn't use your location services to automatically detect your location, but rather asks you to type it in manually. It comes with banner ads on the bottom of the screen, while your location and current temperature are located on top of the screen.

You have information on temperatures in the coming days, as well as the current wind speed. Swipe left and you'll get temperatures for the rest of the coming week. In the background, the app displays a wallpaper and animation.

The image is of poor quality and it isn't in any way linked to conditions outside or even the time of day. The animation is poor at best, with oddly shaped clouds barely moving in the background. It gives a whole cheap feel to the app.

Some settings

Surprisingly, the background image in the menu looks better than that in the main page. It's coordinated with the time of day and comes in HD. You can set the app to display precipitations in inches, temperatures in Celsius or Fahrenheit and wind speed in miles per hour.

However, there aren't other changes to be made to the app. The app doesn't inform users on which website it uses to collect temperatures. Also, it lacks a section with the latest news reports so users won't get alerts of bad weather and other useful articles. The app also shows the country code.

There are no notifications to be set, the app doesn't come with an icon for the status bar and the widget must be downloaded separately. All in all, it lacks many features that other similar apps provide in a stylish interface.
