Simplistic but nice interface
The app launches with a set of instructions for new users to get the idea of the app and start navigating easily. It doesn't use material design, in fact the app doesn't really have that many sections.
It's quite simplistic with only a few screens with information. However, it has funny messages on the home screen and throughout the app. It would have been nice if it had a settings menu with some changes that you can do to the interface, but that might have spoiled the concept behind the app.
Check the weather
The home page displays current conditions, but it doesn't mention wind speed, direction, chances of rain, humidity, pressure, dew point, etc. It mentions none of these and it doesn't have wallpapers coordinated with the weather outside.
But that's why this app is charming, because of its simplicity and funny messages that it displays. Still, if the sun is shining outside Authentic Weather will display a drawing with a sun on the home screen. Swipe the screen up to share current conditions on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. You can also share on other social networks if you wish.
Some features
Swipe the screen down and the app shows users the forecast for the next three days, with expected temperatures and conditions. It automatically finds your location if you turn on your GPS, but it doesn't let users type in the cities in which they live.
In addition, you can't add multiple locations to check the weather. Swipe the screen right and you can choose from Fahrenheit or Celsius. The app can also let you use the camera mode to snap pictures with funny messages.
The premium version comes with customizable widgets, fresh weather phrases and the new camera mode. It costs 0.99$ which isn't that much compared to other weather applications.
