Nifty app with a beautiful interface and animation
The first thing uses must do after launching the app is enable their location services for the app to pinpoint their current location and provide accurate information. There's also the option of manually entering the name of a city, the postal or airport code to find a location.
The app provides you with suggestions and you must pick the one that applies to you. There are no instructions, but the intuitive interface won't let you confused and wondering how to navigate in this application. Also, 1Weather comes in 25 different languages.
Check the weather in multiple locations
Swipe the screen left to see and add multiple locations you can switch from. The app displays current temperatures with a 10-day extended forecast and precipitation info, 36-hour and 7-day interactive charts, hourly forecast and precipitation info.
There's information on wind speed, visibility, humidity, etc. basically everything you need to know when you check the weather. It also alerts users of extreme weather conditions and notifications which you can adjust in the menu. Other than that, it displays interesting weather facts that you can share with friends on social networks.
Customize the interface and widgets
The app is highly customizable, with plenty of themes to choose from and options to make them your own. It's quite surprising how each theme can be changed to meet user preferences. You can adjust brightness, change the color of icons and accents.
Users can also rename themes and change the background image, as the app offers a large gallery of HD images some weather-related and some not. In addition, the same changes can be applied to the many widgets belonging to the app. However, it seems that widgets don't work in this version of the app.
