Waze 3.7.4.5

Find the best route to any location and view possible slowdowns along the way thanks to reports from other drivers
Those who spend a lot of time driving on a daily basis are surely aware of the advantages of getting some head start information, so as to be able to avoid traffic jams, closed roads, construction sites and more.

Waze is one smart helper that aims to make the day a little bit better for all its users by keeping them up to date with the traffic reports send by fellow drivers using the same application.

Inspired interface tailored for effortless usage

The utility comes with a neat GUI, with a friendly design that is very easy to read and follow when driving. Moving around the map in 3D mode is pretty smooth, but occasionally some minor glitches will appear when zooming in or out of the current view.

The information is clearly distinguishable and each report is marked on the map, so you can click its icon to read the contained info on the spot. The graphics are well drawn and give the app a really fun look, making it quite appealing from the visual perspective.

Simple navigation and useful information from fellow drivers

The road information, including the map is quite accurate and contains a lot of useful reference points you can use to guide yourself on your way. Getting to a certain location from the map is as simple as it can be, since all you have to do is keep pressed that point, choose the detailed view and tap "Go" to have the route lined out in a few seconds.

Unfortunately, on some occasions, when calculating the routes the application may direct you on a slightly longer road because it is not aware of all the available roads and streets.

You can contribute and help others by sending information about various events and even attaching screenshots to your reports. Finding the cheapest gas station near your location is a breeze, thanks to the built-in function of Waze, which uses data from other sources as well, like Google Places or Foursquare.

Bottom Line
Design / UI9

The looks of this app are quite fun and they still remain practical. The only noticeable drawback is represented by the infrequent glitches in the 3D mode.

Function8

The application offers a good deal of relevant information and can serve as a decent driving assistant.

Security9

Waze is fairly safe to use as it only seeks access in areas of the system that are related to its functionality.

Battery5

As most navigation utilities, this one is also battery intensive and will completely drain the energy in a couple of hours of continuous usage.

Price10

This utility has a lot of value because it serves as a navigator and as a means of monitoring the traffic around the user's current location.

Compatibility8

Waze will run very well on the more recent handsets that have Windows Phone 8 or above installed and a minimum screen resolution of 480 by 800 pixels.
