Pulseway 4.7.5.0
For those who need something to ensure mobility and complete access to the PCs, Mac computers or Linux powered systems, Pulseway offers a neat alternative as it can be used onto pretty much any Windows Phone handset out there.
As long as you install the Windows agent or setup the OSX desktop client onto every target system, you will be able to fully control them from your mobile device.
Practical GUI with a decent appearance
The looks of this application are focused on practicality rather than visual appeal, but even so, the graphics are pretty nicely designed, while the layout of the functions is convenient and the information is organized and presented in a clear manner.
The utility is pretty responsive when it comes to gathering data from the remote systems and displaying it onto the Windows Phone handset, even if there are some minor waiting times for carrying out the respective operations.
Add systems and monitor them
With this utility you have to go through a few mandatory steps in order to access a remote computer. The first one is to create an account on the Pulseway website and then add the log in details inside the client so it can sign in automatically.
From the mobile app you will need to use the same credentials to get inside your account and if the systems are online, with the corresponding service running, the connections will be established automatically, so you can start monitoring the computers.
It is important to note that after creating an account you will have at your disposal 30 days to evaluate the service and there is also a limit insofar as the number of monitored computers is concerned, so no more than 50 devices can be tracked.
Full control over the remote systems
Pulseway allows you to view a quick overview that includes the monitored computer CPU and RAM usage, the external IP address and other manufacturer and BIOS details. Some simple yet relevant graphs are available for the processor and memory usage history.
If you need to go in-depth and check out hardware temperatures or fan speeds, hard disk data, access the event log or execute commands in PowerShell or Terminal, the app is ready for all these tasks.
A great asset is the ability to view running processes onto the selected system and close them if needed, while other useful commands you can send from the mobile app are related to the power options.
An admin-client chat module is at your disposal, so you can initiate conversations with the person in front of the remote computer to offer assistance and get instant feedback about the operational condition of the respective system.
System updates, application and security management onto the connected computers are at hand, while the powerful reporting component can provide all the needed details in relevant reports neatly grouped in the dedicated area of the app.
