Transparent workspace with upfront commands
The friendly GUI of the application serves as an ample workspace, which makes it possible to easily scan documents and pretty much any other thing you want to save and share. The editing commands are neatly placed in the lower part of the screen for quick access and fast processing.
The preview area is quite responsive and will display the modifications you make in real-time, but there is a visible drawback that takes the form of some irritating ad banners that overlap with the text shown just above the main menu and this can be a real pain.

Processing the actual documents or any kind of paper you want to scan is as easy as it can be because you just have to hold the device steady and when pressing the "Start" button, the app will commence the procedure after a few moments.Unfortunately, for some reason the utility keeps on crashing and often remains stuck after acquiring a scanned image.
With Handyscan Free you can modify the alignment of the page, crop any portion of the scanned picture and make the necessary corrections in order to obtain an ideal result. The utility offers some optimization options you can pick from, so as to get the best quality for the output.
Quick editing of scans right at your fingertips
Should you need to put together several pages and create a montage, there is a dedicated option inside this app, called "make single page collage". Thus, you can select several images and arrange them onto a single sheet, into up to 5 columns.
There are also some editing features awaiting to be put to good use, but some of them will require a purchase to unlock. Also needing a paid license is the email sharing option and the PDF conversion function, as well as the removal of the small watermarked placed on each of the saved images.
