Date: 10 Oct 2010, 14:41 GMT | the battery life quoted is fictional compared to the actual battery life, thats just on standby if you use the phone to make calls or surf the net you need a spare battery just to ensure you have a phone for all day use. if the onscreen display was a bit more finger friendly and the device didn't require resetting so often and the sound quality was a bit better the 'phone would be ok. i think with the size of the toshiba corporation they would've ironed out some of these obvious flaws long before they came to market, as a comparison the lg cookie, by no means perfect shows up all the deficiencies of the toshiba which was initially sold as a premium product and is now sold as a bargain basement handset due to its performance. i'm going to try to download an android rom to see if that will cure some of the flaws of the handset. |

You need to download it from the Toshiba Website.
Unzip it and then Copy the unzipped files into your MicroSD Card. Must be the root of your MicroUSD otehrwise will not work. (keep the created folder) only the install file must be in the root.
Then, just run the application.
Within the ZIP file, it has the PDF with instructions for the installation.
Be prepared. it is different than 6.1. No big improvements and same problems as before. ... just a little bit faster.
Do a backup of everything beyond the Sync. Because maybe Sync will not work anymore and you will loose everything. possibly need to re-install actvive sync.
You will also lose all installed applications. Need to re-install.
Do the backlup of your contacts as well.
Microsoft. Be prepared for the worst therefore you will have no problems. |

You can install android on the TG01 to take advantage of the screen if you want to. |
