I have had smartphones since the first 3com Palm and Handspring phone came out and I really like the Mytouch.

Only gripe is the keypad needs a few minor adjustments to work better.
Would also highly recommend taskiller app to all users of the mytouch. This application shuts down background apps completely and will make the mytouch run much faster and not get bogged down because memory is being used up in the background by previous apps you are no longer using at the time.

Just to answer some of the questions above. Di regarding adding your own tune to the alarm clock. Pick the tune you want and save as a ringtone, then go to your alarm tunes and you will be able to retrieve. Then set your original ringtone for your phone. Regarding Radu, You can read PDF, word and WMW attachments if you add the proper software available in your "market" software. One thing I miss with this phone is being able to email an address I found in google maps. Can't figure this out.

Other than that...Awesome. If you like using Google apps, this phone is a no brainer because the applications are seamless. If you want a phone to look really cool when you play checkers or pong, get the iphone.

I really like the T-Mobile My touch however the one problem I find is that I cannot use my own personal ringtones for the alarm clock. I have so many ringtones that I have personnaly created and I had no problem when I had my Blackberry, downloading ringtones and pics. I shouold not have to download any special apps when I have the ringtones on my mini SD card. So much for personalization.

Generally positive, with a couple of early notes:
E-mail client is quite slim, missing some basic features like inability to read embedded URLs, to highlight/edit/copy/paste text when reply/forward messages. Couldn't figure out (yet) how to clean the "trash" folder.
Also, how to read PDF, Word, WMW attachments.
