Date: 27 Apr 2011, 08:11 GMT | Horrible navigation and software system... I'm hoping thats orange and not SE's fault. You only get to customise two homescreen keys, and with just two shortcuts. I hate that.
Otherwise I love the phone, can throw a party with the speakers and 8gig memory (5gig memory's worth of songs is a lot)
The camera is super, it looks 3.2 on the phone cos the screen resolution is not so tech. But put same pictures on computer and they're great. Flash and camera functions, good. Plus enough memoryu to store those pixes, and you can upload directly to facebook. The cam is quite slow though.
When you turn on the phone is very slow to boot. I suspect the battery life is short but really can't tell cos the phone is always busy on youtube or some other battery consuming place.
I love the added functions, i just wish it was as easy to navigate and customise as my w910i. I love that I'm using a very ordinary looking phone which is more powerful than most of the impressive looking qwerty phones.
And lest I forget, the w995 was made for texting/chatting!!! The keys and predictive writing are super and I can switch btw english and french at will. a conversation module also creates a 'chatroom' for you and each contact. |

Date: 17 Jun 2010, 11:18 GMT | I had a G705 and I thought the W995 would have been a nice upgrade. I was wrong. The W995 is just heavier, the camera is not up to the 8.1M, since the pics quality isn't better than the 3.2M camera of the G705. (IMHO the G705 has a slightly better pics quality) The OS is the same as the G705, but the battery life of the W995 is not as good as the G705.
The only one good thing about the W995 versus the G705 is the lay out of the main keys, which are more spaced and could be used with bigger fingers too. |
