Date: 22 Oct 2009, 11:21 GMT | I have been using this phone for about 2 years and still using it. Its a very stylish and fast phone. Booting was also fast but it slows down as you add more and more rss feeds (not everyone are internet freaks). Music player has clear sound and supports real and wma along with mp3,mp4. Design is slim for a 2mp phone of this class. camera bears the cyber shot brand and captures excellent pictures. You must view these photos in computer to see the real quality. It can definitely be called younger brother of K800i. The lens cover is firm and does not dangle loosely. There are dedicated keys for music player/radio, internet , activity menu. Activity menu shows running applications, new msg, miss call, short cut, recent bookmarks etc. But the real power of this phone is in multi-tasking. Most of the phone functions con be minimized including java applications. Java applications does not ask "read/write user data" permissions like nokia phones. Ram of this device can be expanded(I have seen only Opera mini, Google map & Orkut do this trick). Few things which bother me are it does not support flash (.swf) files except k550im. Keys are small and stylish but does not suit men with large hands. Otherwise it is the perfect all-rounder i have ever seen. |

Date: 15 Aug 2009, 07:44 GMT | Yes, ther is no doubt that K 550i is a well designd and efficient phone than any other phone in its class. It is a quit speedy phone, does not take your valuable time during the booting process as other phones do. Being a multimedia phone its a good performer, camera clarity is superb in 2mp class, can play music cristal clear even at high volume and yes it supports real and mp4 format too, so as it save your memory, it have good resolution and have enough medium size screen, the drawback that you find is that you can not watch videos when its paired with any other bluetooth device and not even check your phone during that, the silver coating near the camera will loose itself, after which you can not take photos at night in LED mode. The coating of keys also get rubbed off giving your phone older look than it has. Overall the phoone is good if you want to keep an alrounder with you, but you have to care for the above drawbacks. I am a user of this phone and using it from past 1 year, the other phones that i have used in this class is Nokia 6300 and famly, and i will definetly prefer you K 550i over 6300. |
