I had my samsung i8510 unit a month ago, I wonder only where I can get theme, wall paper, slides creator? If I used the themes for Nokia N95 8gb, it always remind me that the theme is not compatible.

Is there anybody who has theme creator for samsung i8510? Sharing it to me will be very much appreciated.

Can we request to Samsung UK or Samsung Korea to provide this themes & slides. wall paper maker?

Thanks in advance to the helpful guys out there.

Having had it for a few days, the battery life isn't anything fantastic and seems about on par with other similar phones. Your mileage will vary depending on how much you use the battery-intensive functions. The GPS and navigation seems to use quite a lot of power, so if you're intending to use that function a lot I'd strongly recommend getting the car adapter to provide power when in the vehicle.

Phonewise, its speaker volume (non loudspeaker) is better than the N73 which this replaced (and was my main issue with the N73) but its antenna doesn't seem as good. It has just over half the reception bars lit when in the office, and completely loses reception if I go further into the building like into the bathroom. My N73 never lost reception in this building.

The optical sensor for the D-pad is great with the web browser, but takes some getting used to otherwise - I very often accidentally scroll to a different item when I'm trying to use it as a regular D-pad. It can be switched off altogether, but it would be better if you could enable it for just select applications.

The UI and loading times are a fair bit better than my N73, as a way of comparison, but switching between things still isn't instant. It does seem to have quite a bit of memory available to applications though so leaving anything you use running is probably an option. I've managed to view large images in the web browser without problems, whereas the N73 would fail to load images bigger than about 800 x 600.

@cliff: I bought mine retail 3 days ago and it came with Route 66 pre-installed, listed as 'Navigator' in the Applications menu (it has a Route 66 icon, but the opening screen seems to be rebranded). I had a few problems with it, but have it working properly now. After connecting in mass storage mode the Route 66 Sync application recognised it and let me add content. I downloaded some of the free voices and colour schemes to verify it was working properly - but they didn't show up in the application. It was obviously working somewhat as if I told it to synchronise licenses the new items would appear but only to download.

I ended up turning the phone off altogether (in order to get at the serial number to register the warranty) and when I turned it back on the stuff I'd downloaded was available. During my adventure I downloaded the updated application from 66.com and tried to install it to a memory card - but it failed to install. A bit disappointing; I think this is probably because of the pre-installed Samsung branded version, but there doesn't seem to be any way to uninstall it.

Anyway - I thought having the Route 66 directory structure on the memory card might have been confusing the Sync app, so I reformatted the card via the phone UI and it complained it was still in use. This was after exiting Route 66 and disconnecting from the PC. So I wonder if maybe Route 66 doesn't properly exit or something like that.

If anyone has similar problems it might be worth rebooting the phone, anyway.

One downside is that although it comes with Route 66, it doesn't come with any useful maps. You can buy them via the Sync app but at $100 for the Australia map it's pretty pricey. Still cheaper than buying the package retail, I guess. If you happen to live in the eastern states you can buy individual cities for about $20, but there's no WA-specific (or even Perth-specific) maps for download. However I think it was the cost - the map seems pretty detailed and there's lots of points of interest (banks, parking, food, etc.) included.

The phone itself is pretty cool too, but having only had it for 3 days I can't really tell prospective buyers anything they don't already know from reading the specifications and reviews.
