THIS IS A GR8 HTC DEVICE TO OWN :D ONLY if you know how-to use Windows Mobile, if you dont, then NO HTC IS GOOD for you :( |

Its faults are so many it is difficult to know where to start and I am sure I will not list them all. It does not turn off so whenever a message or alarm comes in, it turns on and then the touch screen means I have ended up calling colleagues at 0530 in the morning. The predictive text comes in where it is not wanted; the sync with my computers is unreliable and has caused data loss in outlook; the phone reception is poor; the battery life is poor; the screen is difficult to read (for an older person); the calendar and contacts function is almost unusable in a hurry; when listening to my voicemail, one has to go through multiple keystrokes to get back to the keyboard to save or delete a message. I use it as an example of product design showing how you can get the functional specification right and fail totally in the execution. The pain of this dreadful six months where I started by blaming myself for failing to get on with it, and have finally learnt it is the product that is wrong is now fading fast - I have moved back to a Nokia which is just right in almost everything it does. |
