In November it was a 7.5 machine, but with all the improvements and my understanding of the WP8 OS, the phone has become a 9 machine. The biggest thing you will notice is the communication that is available from Nokia. I have never had this much contact with any phone company, from updates, to new apps, to how to videos, to bugs and fixes. That has made my phone experience better than all the others. Also, the phone works...well. Its extremely fast, great screen, the WP App Store has grown a lot and all of the major apps are in place now. There is also a lot of excitement in the WP OS community. There is so much new stuff coming out it can seem like Christmas from time to time. All of this makes the OS more robust. The WP8 OS is a young OS and as such is lacking in some features which a future update is suppose to address some of the issues, but the overall concept is very engaging and entertaining. I recently made the decision not to switch to the S4 and to stick with WP because it is an exciting time to be part of this OS community....and based on the specs of the new phones that have been recently released (BB10, Xperia Z, HTC 1, S4, etc.) the 920 seems to already have many of the new specs which means that the 920 will be a relevent phone going into 2014. It's a good phone to get. |

Date: 02 Dec 2012, 19:41 GMT | I've had my Nokia Lumia 920 since it was released on 11/9/2012 and I am extremely happy with the phone. The screen is huge and clear, response is smooth and snappy. A minor issue with playing videos, and battery draining but I've already taken care of the rapid battery drain and I expect the video issue to be corrected soon. Windows Phone 8 is an excellent OS and I'm much happier with this phone that the iPhone 3GS that I had for the past 2 years.
No need to put this phone in a protective plastic box as the polycarbonate shell is very secure and resistant to scratches and bumps. I paid $100 for the phone and a wireless charger when I renewed my AT&T contract for 2 years. |
