Date: 02 Sep 2010, 17:29 GMT | I have had my HTC Touch 2 for almost a year and came quickly to hate it. It hangs up on nearly every call. Sometimes it randomly calls people I am talking about - even though there is no voice recognition software. It has been in for repair twice now, and the second time they just replaced all the innards. I haven't gotten the motivation up yet to open the returned phone. While I was waiting for the repairs, I picked up a 50 Euro simple Sony that doesn't hang up my calls, and I'm trying to find a reason to reactivate the Touch2. Since Vodafone won't refund my money, I suppose I should go open the box again and try it one more time. Wish me luck. If you are thinking of buying one, I wish you luck. It's the stupidest smart phone you can waste your money on! In my own humble experienced opinion. If you're reading this HTC, send me my money back! |

Date: 02 Apr 2010, 07:48 GMT | Muchsin, I agree with you. I have been using Dopod818 which run on WM5.1 and I find it easier to sms using the Phone Pad. I believe all MW6.1 (and MW6.5) devices has no Phone Pad input and that makes messaging/typing notes very difficult using fingers. Anybody know where can I download T9 Keypad for WM6.5 units such as Touch HD or Touch 2 ??? Pls help. |

Date: 01 Apr 2010, 03:50 GMT | It has been two weeks since I've had my HTC TP2 and I'm finally getting adjusted to the keys and shortcuts. - It can try your patience if you key faster than the CPU can process...or is that the battery which doesn't last very long? There are necessary adjustments to preserve battery, out-of-the box, which I think should include WinMo6.5 first.
I've been looking for various tweaks and helper apps, too, but few I think are worthwhile. Unlike the Droid, at least you can install apps to your 8GB SIM card. I'm giving MS another chance in the Mobile market for having the experience to say I was once a MinMo user when in two years I'll move to the Android OS.
My primary reason for choosing this phone was for that 'turn-it-upside-down' and it 'becomes a speaker phone' feature, with a mute button, that I find quite helpful. I have yet to see if anyone can actually utilize a WiFi connection, however. What purpose is it for when you can't connect to anything?
Much to learn I think and it will surely occupy more of my time than my previous Chocolate. PS I hope it's possible to create a network connection to a share, download and simultaneously convert. If this technology doesn't exist yet, I'm hoping then for a good media server and client app that can stream. So far there doesn't seem to be much available for that, but perhaps the demand isn't there.
Overall, I enjoy the phone and it's capabilities for a limited number of quality features. I'll give it 3 1/2 stars for now. |

Date: 26 Feb 2010, 11:51 GMT | Hi,
My HTC Touch HD running Windows Mobile 6.1. I found that the SMS feature is worst than Dopod 810 (Windows Mobile 5.x) because it does not predict what we are going to type when we edit the SMS. The previous one was more convenience. Is there any idea how to upgrade or even to downgrade the SMS? Thanks for help. |
