| Hi all, I've just ordered my P1i to use on PAYG and im loving it already! Thats before i've even tried the phone. I first came acroos the phone on this site whilst i was searching for software for my K800i. I just had to have one. It looks stylish and sleek and the functionality (ive watched all the reviews on youtube) looks simple-asall sony ericssons tend to be. Im very much looking forward to gettin stuck into it and fathoming out the many functions it has. I just hope my thumbs aren't too big for that qwerty keyboard! lol
I'll post a further opinion once i recieve my phone and have tried it out. |

| Owned the Samsung Omnia-i900 and start to explore the phone. It's not as sensitive in touch and intuitive as Apple iPhone 3G. However, features are much better than iPhone 3G. Probably due to based engine are from boring Windows Mobile Pro 6.1 from Microsoft lacking intuitive design, creativity in graphics and function, fortunately Samsung have help to enhance it look to make it look and feel better.
Recommendation, if you are looking for trendy, fashionable, intuitive and rapid response; go for iPhone 3G. If you are looking for features riched, expandability, flexibility and windows-based; go for Omnia. |

| Battery life is terrible.
On my Sony Ericsson W380i I could go 2 days without charging it and I text ALL DAY LONG. On this phone I can barely make it past dinner time. I have to plug in my phone at least once a day and overnight if I don't want it to die. And there's very little warning, a "low bettery" pop up or two and it just shuts off.
I've only had this phone a month and I'm already having A LOT of trouble with the camera aswell. It takes pretty decent pics for a phone, no image stabilizer though. My trouble is when it goes into standby mode, which happens often, and won't come out of it unless I turn the phone off and on. And recently now it's been giving me an error when I try to take a picture and will freeze the phone completely.
It's more technologically advanced than my last phone, but not very reliable. I'm waiting for the day my son gets a hold of it and breaks it by just breathing on it. |

| | i have had one for about 2 years, it is a great business phone, it has a fair shared memory, and great speed. the only problem was its camera. i am usually satisfied by 2 mega-pixels, but the camera is protected by its metal layer, the dust easily adds up under the metal layer, therefore lower the quality of your pictures, it has to be cleaned with cotton, it was the only way i got my camera to "shine". i had to do it daily because i lived in the city and got out a lot, but it can be cleaned up to a weekly basis. |

| | well it is a very classy phone in my opinion!. but when it came to its technological performance i was relay disappointed. although i was profoundly impressed by by its design look and style, it didn't come in handy for its camera, speed or memory, the fact that it has no memory card space is simple .... lag in a few areas but nothing major!
(ps havnt found a software issue as yet!)
for ppl who already have it and seem to have difficulty turning off the music player so they can save battery, here is a way:
play a song,
go to options and then equaliser,
press options and then edit on any type other than default,
lastly options and exit.
its the only way i figured!! |

| Baught this C170 two weeks ago. If you dont need MP3 player and gaming, this phone is it. Slim and very nice dsign. Was in a dark room the other day without lights, used the phone as lamp, the display is realy bright. Unfortunaltly this phone uses the standard Samsung menu systems, where a simple task like reading and deleting an SMS message involves the use of most buttons and menues in the phone. This menu system is about the worst on the market, however since this phone dosnt have all the complex settings and options like higher end models, its not too pronounced on the C170, and an acceptabel draw down compared with the slim and light phone you get.

No cradle
Character for showing time in the calendar wallpaper is very small
Alerts menues takes a bit too long to close
Time from unlock of keypad till operational is a bit too long
Using the standard samsung menu systems, which are about the worst on the market |

| i personally have had so much trouble with this phone, it just freezes on the screen when people ring me xso i had it fixed and the speaker has broken, i have it fixed again and it freezes again, vodafone tell me this is a common problem with the phone because of all the software on it and the memory cannot take it. it is the worst phone nokia have ever made!
it might hve everything on it but it hasnt got the capacity to hold it all. The music might go loud but the speakers cant take it, and then it is huge and bulky aswell, its like carrying a suitcase and you might aswell carry a laptop around because it would be more use anyway. The phone was all the rage when it came out and now i have experienced one i reccommend no1 to this phone it has put me off nokia forever now, you never know what is gonna go wrong with it next. |
