WebMD Baby 2.1

WebMD Baby offers help in how to best tend to your baby
New parents often find that they have difficulties in knowing how to do everything to care for their infant. Whether it’s how best to handle the baby’s first bath or how to handle the baby’s sleeping patterns so that you all get your rest, these are questions all parents have and which come on top of a million different worries they have about their newborns.

WebMD, the famous medical portal, has created many mobile apps, including some specialized ones to make life easier for those looking for targeted information. WebMD Baby is one of those apps that they’ve put together to help new parents.

Share personal data for better information targeting

The app requires users to log in with their WebMD account or to set up one on the spot. Then, they have to input data about their babies, such as their date of birth, gender and name. The great part about this is that even if you’re an expecting parent and there are yet a few months before the baby arrives, you can still create an account and learn new things before the big day.

The homepage hosts a few articles that you may enjoy, including videos that can prove to be quite useful, as well as various tips about things like what to expect during the first baby visits to the doctor, and how it’s best to dress your newborn, for instance. The data will differ, of course, based on how old your child is.

The Baby 101 area also holds a lot of data, including about the proper care for them, their weekly development, vaccines they need to take, as well as other tips about food, parenting and sleep, for instance.

The app comes with a journal where you can create a baby book, track their growth, sleeping pattern, feeding schedule and just how many diapers you had to change.

Learn on the go

Basically, WebMD Baby puts together tons of information about how best to take care of your baby, when you should worry and when you should relax. This is a great app for new parents who need more reassurances that everything is going how it’s supposed to and that they’re doing the right thing, without having to call the doctor every step of the way.

The app is best suited for parents of children of up to two years, as the app delivers weekly or monthly multimedia content packages, as well as daily and monthly tips for a wide range of topics.
