Twitterrific 5 for Twitter 5.9.3
Twitterrific is an app that lets you make the most of Twitter and add a personal twist to it all, too, by customizing the way it looks like and more.
Great design
The app looks elegant and it’s pretty easy to handle thanks to this. It gives the power to customize the info you have access. For instance you can easily jump from your main timeline to the mentions panel to the direct message one. What’s more, you can adjust these so you can actually get other tweet groups there instead, such as Favorites, Today or various hashtags you’ve searched to your account.
The app will let you know when you get any notifications if you allow it to send you such data, but it won’t suffocate you with them. You will, however, be able to quickly send out tweets and reply to messages you’ve received. Just like on Twitter.com, you can add up to four pictures, mention a friend and add a location tag if you desire. As soon as you start typing, you’ll notice just how many characters you have left.
Customize the app
Since I mentioned customization, I’ll move on to this topic since it’s pretty cool. While other Twitter clients will allow you to switch the background color, Twitterrific will actually give you a lot more tools.
On one hand, you can select one of the many fonts available. As you move through them, you’ll see your timeline change so you can better assess whether you like the way the font looks like or not.
Then, you’ll be able to fiddle with the avatar size so it doesn’t annoy you as you read through the tweets. You can even have the app display the photos attached by other users in a small thumbnail rather than the full version.
Twitterrific next lets you increase or decrease the size of the font and the spacing between the lines and switch between the day and night themes. If you want, you can even have the app turn dark when night falls so it doesn’t bother your eyes and you won’t have to take this step on your own each day.
The app also comes with VoiceOver support which makes Twitterrific is a great app for those who have vision problems too.
