Can you spot the resemblance between the two?

A few days ago, Google unveiled two Nexus smartphones before the whole world, a flagship called the Nexus 6P (made by Huawei) and a middle-range model going by the name of Nexus 5X (manufactured by LG).

Well, the phones haven’t even started shipping out to consumers yet and the seed of scandal seems to have already been planted. ZTE’s Marketing Director Lu Quin Hao is accusing Huawei (and Google indirectly) on Weibo (China’s most popular social network) of blatantly copying the ZTE Grand S (Anthena) design for the Nexus 6P (as seen at Mobillissimo).

The actual post says that the phone “pays heavy tribute” to the ZTE Grand S and is directed at Huawei’s Yu Chengdong, who hasn’t posted a relevant answer until this moment. But he probably will in a few days.

As you can see from the image comparing the two devices, the two smartphones do seem to have some design features in common, especially the black bar on the back of the device encasing the camera. Still, there’s no fingerprint scanner located on the rear or anything like that.

Furthermore, the ZTE Grand S isn’t nearly as sleek as the new Nexus 6P, which, by the way, is made of metal. The phone was launched back in 2013 and arrived on the market with a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon S4 Pro processor under the hood, and 2GB of RAM on board.
