Micromax-owned handset maker YU has been pretty successful in India with its Yureka and Yuphoria affordable Android smartphones.

Which is why the company is now preparing for another launch, which is scheduled for September 8, fonearena reports.

YU has already sent invitations to the press for the launch event where it is expected to unveil the next Android handset the company will be selling in India.

Unlike previous YU smartphones, which were exclusively available in India through Amazon, the new device might go on sale at major retailer Snapdeal instead.

The partnership between the two companies has already been confirmed by YU’s Co-Founder and CEO Rahul Sharma and by Kunal Bahl, Co-Founder & CEO of Snapdeal, on Twitter.

There aren't any details on the next smartphone coming from YU, but the invitation reads, “When Future Meets Past - The Next Wonder Will Be Unveiled.”

In the same piece of news, it's possible that YU might unveil its first power bank, which was already leaked not long ago via Indian importer Zauba.

According to the listing, YU imported no less than 5,000 units of its 10,000 mAh power bank, which is codenamed YUAPB1000, from China to India about two weeks ago.

So, it's either a new smartphone or the previously spotted power bank that has yet to be officially introduced by YU.
