Google will be launching two new smartphones soon

There’s a lot to be excited about today, as Google is hosting a big press event during which we are bound to see the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P finally go official. Google trolled everyone during its I/O 2015 conference in late May by keeping mum about any new Nexus hardware.

While some were disconcerted by the absence of any new Nexuses, others knew Google wouldn’t disappoint. So later today, the search giant will be launching the new Nexus 5X made by LG, which is poised to arrive in the wild with a 5.2-inch display with FHD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor, and many, many other goodies.

The Nexus 6P is also coming, as the first Nexus device to be manufactured by Chinese device maker Huawei. The phone is the higher-end affair of the two and will arrive with a larger 5.7-inch display with QHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels resolution), and a Snapdragon 810 under the bonnet.

Google is also expected to officially launch Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which will come pre-installed on the two new phones, but we hope the company will talk about many other things. Maybe even announce a Nexus Protection program for the lineup, something similar to Apple Care.

Anyway, if you want to see what Google has to say, you can watch the whole event live, starting at 9am PT. Just follow this link and get your popcorn and soda ready!
