Yesterday, we presented you a bunch of images showing the purported back cover of the Verizon-bound DROID Maxx 2 (or the only version of the Motorola Moto X Play bound for the US).
Well, today, we get to see even more pictures of the fully-assembled device, which indicate that the phone will soon launch under Big Red. The folks at Android Police managed to get their hands on a brand new set of images showing the DROID Maxx 2, plus the device’s specs.
Yesterday, we really didn’t know what to expect, but now we have a few more details to share with you on the matter. The CPU-Z screenshot reveals that the device will come with 8.14GB of internal storage, which is a bit strange given that the Moto X Play was announced with either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage on board.
It’s highly unlikely that Verizon will offer the smartphone with 8GB of built-in storage, but we’ll see how things progress in the upcoming weeks. Apart from that, the other specs remain the same, so the DROID Maxx 2 will come with a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 21MP main camera.
So there you go, it seems that the DROID Maxx 2 is indeed headed for Verizon. Hopefully, the phone will become available for purchase before the holiday season. Pricing information is currently unknown.
