It's clear that Samsung plans to launch another Tizen-powered smartphone after the success of the Z1. The name of the next device set to continue to spread Tizen love is Samsung Z3.

The smartphone has already been presented by Samsung, but a release date has yet to be confirmed. Some of you might remember that we reported back in July that Samsung Z3 with Tizen OS 3.0 would be launched in India, Nepal and Bangladesh.

Today, the folks over at TizenExperts report that Samsung Z3 has been certified at the FCC (Federal Communications Commission), which means its launch on the market should happen in just a few weeks.

Samsung Z3 is supposed to be an upgrade to the Z1, so it will come with a larger 5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution.

Also, the handset will be equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

On the back, Samsung Z3 packs a 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while in the front there will be a 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Speaking of which, the Z3 offers 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS support.

While we still don't know the exact release date of the Tizen-powered Samsung Z3, the fact that it's been certified by FCC means we won't have to wait too long for its debut.
