Now, staff have just announced they have launched a new platform that isn't really connected to dating. More precisely, Tinder has introduced Tinder Social, which is a new platform allowing users to plan their nights out.
Tinder first tested Tinder Social in Australia, and it found that some users on the platform wished to plan nights out with friends, not just go on dates. The new platform allows its users to check who planned a night out and see what they're up to.
Users will need to create groups on Tinder Social and invite others to join. Then, they can swipe and match with other groups nearby who are also going out. It allows users to message their matches, make a plan or find out where other users are going and join them. Tinder Social requires unlock, and users will be able to see who else has unlocked the feature inside the app so they can invite them to join groups.
The platform also enables users to create groups via their Facebook connections, which helps them connect with even more people. It's worth mentioning that group matches on the platform must be mutual, with at least one member of each party having expressed approval.
Tinder Social has been launched in the US and select countries, and users can check if the feature is available to them by accessing the Play Store or the App Store.
