Xiaomi’s latest affordable flagship, the Mi4c, just launched in China a few days ago, and folks around the world can already order the device.

The guys at IT168 have already managed to get their unit, and because they've gotten curious, they have decided to take apart the smartphone and see what it hides beneath the hood (as seen at Talk Android).

Unlike iFixit, they don’t provide a repairability score, but even so, they've demonstrated one can take apart the Mi4c in fourteen relatively easy steps. However, there are a lot of small parts and screws factored into the equation, which makes it a bit hard to put the device back together. Apart from that, the insides look pretty neat and orderly.

The phone launched the other day with a 5-inch Sunlight Display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 under the hood. The same chipset has been used by a variety of flagship devices like the LG G4 or Motorola Moto X Style. The Nexus 5X will also be based on the same platform when it comes out in a few days.

Moving along, Xiaomi also throws in 2GB or 3GB of RAM and 16/32GB of internals storage. The Mi4c takes advantage of a 13MP main camera with Phase Detection Autofocus plus a 5MP selfie-shooter.

The spec list is completed by a 3,080mAh battery with Quick Charge plus a USB Type-C port. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop is the operating system du-jour with MIUI 7 ROM on top.
