T-Mobile's offer is available for the whole month of August

Today, T-Mobile has announced its intention to offer postpaid customers access to free unlimited roaming data and free calls within Brazil and the US, as well as free texting worldwide for the whole month of August. The offer is made in celebration of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

T-Mobile is one of the biggest carriers in the US, and the company thought of multiple ways in which it could celebrate the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and keep its customers satisfied with its services.

Aside from free unlimited data and calls to Brazil and tthe US, T-Mobile will also be offering family members of US athletes a free Samsung Galaxy S7 edge smartphone, together with a free Samsung Gear 360 camera and free T-Mobile service during the Summer Olympics held in Rio.

In the press release, T-Mobile states sthat more than 100,000 Americans are expected to attend the Olympic Games held in Rio, and T-Mobile customers don't need to activate the service, as it's provided automatically as they arrive in Rio.

The press release also mentions that T-Mobile's competitor AT&T is one of the official sponsors of the Olympic Games, and the company introduced a new “Brazil plan” last month, which includes 1GB of roaming data, but for $50 more than current plans.

T-Mobile is one of the biggest carriers in the US, and the company is rumored to launch pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 7 next week, days before the official unveiling on August 2.

T-Mobile has also released a video, featuring CEO John Legere promoting the new offer.
