Few US-based carriers might offer the company's new phones

Sony has recently unveiled its new Xperia Z5 family, which is supposed to go on sale in the coming weeks. However, few carriers in the United States might offer one or more of the new devices.

The US market has been a tough nut to crack for Sony Mobile. The only carrier that usually offers the Japanese company's flagship smartphones, T-Mobile, might not be tempted to offer the new Xperia Z5.

Verizon is expected to launch the Xperia Z4v, but the carrier refused to comment on the matter of the Xperia Z5 family, so it's not sure whether or not the Big Red will be selling any of the new phones.

CNET reports that a T-Mobile spokesperson has confirmed that the Magenta carrier has no intention of adding any of the Xperia Z5 family smartphones to its portfolio.

Hopefully, T-Mobile will change its mind in the not so distant future because it would be a real pity for Sony fans in the US to not be able to get the company's new smartphones.

Even if Sony launches the Xperia Z5 family in the United States through its online store, sales are likely to be way below those of a carrier.

Sony has yet to comment on whether the new Xperia Z5 smartphones will be available in the United States anytime soon, so stay tuned.
