Despite being plagued by overheating issues, Sony went ahead and rolled out the Xperia Z3+ flagship globally.

So the flagship device has arrived in India as well, where it sells for the pretty chunky price tag of $880 / €785 (via GSM Arena).

It’s quite bold of Sony to be asking for such a high price, given the fact that the Xperia Z3+ is a mere incremental update from the Xperia Z3. On top of that, the Snapdragon 810 inside of it is up to no good, as recent reports have showed us.

What’s even more outrageous is that the Sony Xperia Z3+ costs more than the Samsung Galaxy S6 ($629 / €561) and LG G4 ($707 / €630). Good luck selling this device, Sony!

The phone will be available starting June 26 and should ship out with a QuickCharge 2.0-enabled charger which Sony says is worth $55 / €49.

The Z3+ flagship arrives with a 5.2-inch 1080p display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor under the hood, working side by the side with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Unlike the Samsung Galaxy S6, the Xperia Z3+ comes with support for microSD.

The phone also bundles a 20.7MP rear camera plus a 5.1MP frontal camera. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box and will probably be soon updated to Android 5.1 Lollipop.
