Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ later today during its Unpacked event in New York. And we pretty much know what to expect when it comes to the two phablets, due to the massive amount of leaks we’ve seen lately.

Well, now, a few hours before the phablet goes live, we bring you yet another piece of information, related this time to the Galaxy S6 edge+. According to Asian publication Korean Times, the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ will be made available for pre-order on August 20 in South Korea.

The rest of the world might have to wait an extra day to get the same treatment. A few days ago, Samsung France let it slip that the S6 edge+ would go on pre-order on August 21.

All major Korean carriers, though, including SK Telecom, KT and LG U+, will start taking pre-orders for the phablet on the date mentioned above.

The report also mentions that Samsung hopes that the Galaxy S6 edge+ will help it improve its profit margins, which sadly weren’t that great in the previous quarter.

An unnamed Samsung official is quoted as saying that the company expects its smartphone sales during the third quarter to be better thanks to the new models, which is a pretty obvious inference. Usually, once a company launches new models, a spike of fresh interest swipes the population.
