Lately, we’ve been hearing plenty of rumors saying that Samsung plans to launch a Plus version of its Galaxy S6 edge flagship smartphone. We’ve even seen a press render showcasing the phone.

Well, today we get to share with you more information about the upcoming device. One of the major reasons why Samsung Galaxy S6 received criticism is the skimpy battery life. After all, the phone has a smaller battery than its predecessor, down from 2,800 mAh to 2,550 mAh.

But according to a freshly squeezed report coming out of Sam Mobile, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6 (edge) Plus handset will make a debut into the world with a more accommodating 3,000 mAh battery.

Still, this is probably due to the fact that the phone is expected to arrive with a larger form factor speculated to be between 5.4 inches and 5.7 inches. The smartphone is expected to be around 151 mm / 5.9 inches tall and around 73 mm / 2.87 inches wide.

Other known specs of the device include a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 chipset (unlike the Galaxy S6 that has an Exynos 7420), 32GB of internal storage, a 16MP primary camera with OIS and 4K video recording, plus a 5MP front-facing camera.

We expect to see the Samsung Galaxy S6 (edge) Plus be announced in the following weeks.
