The Galaxy S6 Active has been recently launched in the United States, where it sells exclusively via AT&T. The smartphone is still on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop operating system, but it's expected to receive at least Android 5.1 Lollipop very soon.

Until then, AT&T has rolled out a small update that brings only one new feature according to the official changelog. It's called “Find My Mobile with Reactivation Mode” and allows Galaxy S6 Active owners to prevent the reuse of their device by another person if it's lost or stolen.

In order to activate this feature, you need to head to Settings / Security / Find My Mobile menu and enable the Reactivation lock option. This way, other people won't be able to activate your device even after resetting it.

Apart from the addition of this feature, the changelog does no mention anything else, by there's a slight chance that some bug fixes and minor improvements have been added too.

According to AT&T, effective this week, a software update will be available for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active via Firmware Over The Air (FOTA), which means a Wi-Fi connection will be required in order to download and install the update.

If you own the AT&T Galaxy S6 Active, make sure to check for the update by heading to Settings / About device / Software update / Check for updates.
