The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini was introduced back in 2013, but if you think Sammy is ready to get rid of the Galaxy S4 family, you are utterly mistaken. In a surprise move, the company has quietly introduced the Galaxy S4 Mini Plus in Europe this week.

Actually, the specifications are quite similar to what the Galaxy S4 Mini provides, although we find a faster Snapdragon 410 on board and there’s also 4G LTE support.

The phone arrives with a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display with qHD resolution (960 x 540 pixels) and draws life from a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno 306 GPU.

Samsung also throws in 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD up to 64GB). In the photography department, the Galaxy S4 Mini Plus provides users with an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 1.9MP frontal facing snapper.

The handset is sustained by a 1,900 mAh battery under the hood and runs the outdated Android 4.4 KitKat platform out of the box. The company calls the device Samsung S4 Value Edition in some markets and customers can already pick it up.

Samsung is selling the phone in EU countries like Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Romania and Bulgaria for €239 / $262.
