Samsung is prepping a new family of devices

Samsung has been naming some its phone lineups using the Galaxy moniker plus an alphabet letter attached. For instance, the Galaxy S is the flagship series, while the As are more affordable but still premium phones. Then come the Es and the Js. The Z letter is dedicated to Sammy’s first and only Tizen OS phone lineup.

But the Korean tech giant is apparently looking to squeeze in another family of products. This time it’s going to be the Galaxy O – the Galaxy O5 and Galaxy O7 to be more precise, two handsets that popped up online as the SM-G550 and SM-G600 according to Sam Mobile.

As we’ve already been showcasing to you above, Samsung’s nomenclature doesn’t necessarily follow an alphabetic order. So where will the upcoming O family fit into the picture? At the moment we can’t really tell you, because none of the specs of the two phones has been made available to us.

As far as we know, the Galaxy O models might get to see the light of day in a few weeks at IFA 2015 in Berlin.

At some point in the past, Samsung said it was going to cut down on the number of smartphone models it was planning to launch in 2015, but as things appear to look right now, the Korean tech giant seems to have had a change of heart.
