Samsung launched the Galaxy J2 last month, but as it turns out, the Korean tech giant is already working on a successor to this model, which naturally will be called the Galaxy J3. Well, the phone has already been spotted in a benchmark listing revealing most of its specifications.

And by the looks of it, the Galaxy J3 will bring some important enhancements over the Galaxy J2. According to the GFXBench listing, the model will arrive with a 5-inch HD display (1280 x 720 pixel resolution) plus a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor under the hood complemented by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage (as seen at Win Future).

Samsung will also be throwing in an 8MP rear camera plus a 5MP selfie shooting one. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop will be the operating system du-jour. While the specs of the Galaxy J3 are still pretty low-end, they are a lot better than what the Galaxy J2 brought to the table.

The Galaxy J2 arrived on the market with a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 960 x 540 pixel resolution and a quad-core Exynos 3475 processor clocked at 1.3GHz in combination with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage (with microSD card slot support).

The phone also enjoys the services of a 5MP rear camera plus a 2MP frontal one. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed out of the box.

As you can see, the Galaxy J3 does offer some important increments. No word on when the phone is going to launch, but Samsung will probably wait a little bit before rolling it out.
