Owners of Windows Phone 8 handsets will soon be able to enjoy another appealing app and service on their devices, namely ooVoo.

The popular proprietary video chat and messaging service has already confirmed plans to bring such an application to the platform, yet it did not provide specific info on when that should happen.

"We will be developing an application for Windows Phone 8. I am unable to provide you with the time schedule regarding when it will be released. Stay tuned," a company’s employee said on ooVoo’s forums, responding to a user’s inquiry on Windows Phone 8 support.

No further details on what the mobile client might have to offer in terms of features have been provided either, yet WPCentral notes that the software should pack sharing and instant messaging capabilities, in addition to video chatting.
