After the OnePlus 2 launched this summer, the Chinese company said that OnePlus fans should expect another device by the end of the year. This time, it would be a mid-range affair, so it was speculated the phone was probably the OnePlus mini that showed up in the rumor mill a while ago.

The device leaked in the wild as the A2301 when it was spotted in an AnTuTu listing not so long ago. According to the benchmarking website, the OnePlus mini could make it out with 1920 x 1080 resolution display, although its exact size is currently unknown (anything below 5.5-inch, we have to assume).

The phone will be powered by a MediaTek Helio X10 chipset (MT6795T variant) clocked at 2.2GHz together with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Other specs include a 13MP main camera and OxygenOS on board (based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop).

Well, according to a recent report coming out of the Economic Times India citing General Manager of OnePlus India Vikas Argarwal, the OnePlus mini should make it out on the market with a price tag ranging from $182 / €163 to $302 / €268.

The company official said that we should expect the phone to be more of a lifestyle and fashion product rather than a flagship device. But that’s where he stops with the information flow, failing to confirm any of the specs that leaked online. So we guess we have to wait and see what happens.
