The fix promised by the company does not seem to work

It looks like OnePlus One owners still have issues with the phone's touchscreen, even after the Chinese company delivered the latest software update for its current flagship smartphone.

According to AndroidPolice's Artem Russakovskii, the OnePlus One touchscreen stops responding to touch entirely from time to time and the only way to make it work again is to reboot it.

He has two OnePlus One smartphones that are running the latest software (version YNG1TAS2I3), and they both have the same problems. The video below shows the touchscreen bug taking over the OnePlus One.

Since OnePlus has already announced that the latest update should fix this issue and it didn't, the problem may be more serious than the Chinese company wants to admit.

With the upcoming launch of the OnePlus 2 on July 27, we doubt that OnePlus will continue to support OnePlus One for too long.

This means that OnePlus One owners should already start looking for alternatives if they have been experiencing touchscreen issues on their smartphones.

If not for this problem, the OnePlus One handset is pretty decent; in fact it was nicknamed the “flagship killer” given the low price and high-end feature. Pity that it's plagued by these touchscreen issues.
