The handset has been rumored for quite some time

The elusive Microsoft Lumia 1030 comes back into the rumor mill, after months of absence. We saw photographs showcasing what seemed to be the successor to the Lumia 1020 back in 2014, but the fate of this mysterious device hangs in uncertainty even to this day.

Microsoft went as far as to flatly deny the existence of such a phone, but according to French website Nowherelese, this was just Redmond putting on a show to throw us off track.

The publication provided us with a bunch of photos showcasing the front panel of the purported Lumia 1030, while swearing they are authentic in the process.

As you can see in the photographs, the Lumia 1030 mention appears to be clearly written on the black sharpie. On top of that, one can spot a barely visible Microsoft logo in the upper corner plus the Verizon’s logo located in the upper right.

But you shouldn’t be popping the champing yet. After all, these images could just be an indication that Microsoft had been working on a big-screen Lumia smartphone that should have made it onto Verizon shelves. But for some reasons, it didn’t.

Although, hope never dies, and with Windows 10 Mobile arriving this autumn, the Lumia 1030 might as well join the ranks of the handset Microsoft will unveil.
