Meizu is one of the Chinese smartphone makers that has been slowly gaining notoriety thanks to their products that do a great job at balancing price and specs.

Well, this week, the OEM has announced a complete rebranding of its identity, which involves a new logo plus a fresh high-end family of devices.

The new logo features the same blueish color the old one also fashioned. There’s also a variation in black.

Moving along to the new family of devices, Meizu currently offers the high-end MX line, plus the M series (with models such as the Meizu m2 Note).

But with the new premium family, Meizu is aiming even higher. According to Chinese publication Anzhuo, the upcoming phones will be placed above the current MX line, so they are going to be more expensive.

Word that Meizu was prepping a new line of smartphones surfaced a while ago, and back then we told you that the company’s next-gen flagship was expected to launch into the wild with an Exynos 7420 processor under the hood, just like the Samsung Galaxy S6.

Furthermore, we were told that the phone would arrive with a double-sided glass design and a metal frame. According to previous information, Meizu’s next-gen flagship should cost around $484 / €444.
