The update enables Factory Reset Protection

LG G3 has big issues in the United States. Those who own the T-Mobile version of the smartphone, but also other versions of LG G3 complain of major problems that will probably not be addressed any time soon.

All these issues have started to affect the LG G3 soon after the South Korean handset maker delivered the long-awaited Android 5.0 Lollipop update.

For the time being, it's unclear whether or not LG will release Android 5.1 Lollipop for the G3, but we hope the smartphone will at least get Android M when Google decides to make it available.

Well, it looks like at least one major carrier in the United States is releasing another software update for the LG G3. Sprint has just confirmed that its version of LG G3 will receive a small update beginning today.

Software version LS990ZVA is pushed OTA (over the air) in stages, so if it doesn't show on your LG G3 right away, then you should try again after 24 hours.

The official changelog is a bit disappointing in the fact that it's very short and mentions a single new feature that will be added. The minor update only brings Factory Reset Protection, a feature that was left out by the LG when Android 5.0 Lollipop was pushed to G3.
