Lenovo A6000 made its debut in India back in March, while the improved version of the affordable smartphone was launched one month later.

At the time of their launch, both smartphones were powered by Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system, which for some was better than Lollipop.

However, the Chinese company promised to bring both its mid-range smartphones to Lollipop as soon as possible.

Well, it looks like it took Lenovo more than a few months to finally release the highly anticipated Android 5.0 Lollipop update for both A6000 and A6000 Plus smartphones.

According to a new report, Android 5.0.2 Lollipop is now available in India for both A6000 and A6000 Plus smartphones. The update is pushed OTA (over the air) in stages, so it might not be available for all devices at the same time.

According to the official changelog, the update brings some bug fixes and increases the smartphones' stability, but that's on top of all the new features and improvements included in Lollipop.

Keep in mind that Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update is about 1GB in size, so make sure your phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network. Also, don't forget that your phone's battery should be at least 50% charged.

We also expect the update to include a patch for the Stagefright exploit. Have you captured the update yet? If yes, let us know in the comments section how your phone works after upgrading.
