The first Sailfish 2.0-powered smartphone is just one day away. However, the new device won't be available for purchase internationally, like the previous devices.

That's quite understandable since the first smartphone running Sailfish 2.0 will be launched by Indian handset maker Intex.

Intex rarely makes its smartphones available outside India, so the Sailfish 2.0-powered handset the company will announce tomorrow at Mobile World Congress Shanghai, might not be available to everyone.

However, NDTV reports Intex is taking into consideration the release of the smartphone in Russia, but a decision will be taken later on.

Not many details are known about the Sailfish 2.0-powered smartphone to be announced tomorrow, but we do know it will be powered by a Snapdragon 600 chipset and it will come with dual-SIM and 4G LTE support.

Word is Intex's upcoming smartphone will be priced at around Rs 15,000 outright, which is about $235 or €215.

Sailfish 2.0 is an improved version of Jolla's mobile operating system and promises to offer lots of new features and enhancements over the previous version of the platform.

New privacy and customization features, as well as improved notifications, enhanced UI, better multi-tasking and support for Intel architecture will be available too.
